If you're lucky enough to be near Tampa, Florida sometime during the next few months you may want to pop in and see the 'Language of Jewelry' at the Henry B Plant Museum. This exhibition explores the cultural and economic context in which jewellery was designed and displayed during the mid-nineteenth century through to the early twentieth centuries. Exhibits include rarely displayed pieces from the museum's collections as well as selections from private collections illustrating how society, cultural changes and industrial developments have influenced trends in men's and women's jewellery.
